Comscore mobile lens gave a statistics on market share of the global leading smartphone flagships and concluded on some really interesting facts one being Windows Phone beating the market share of BlackBerry.

Windows Phone market share surpasses BlackBerry in the U.S.

The giant portion is occupied by Android with 52.2 % in the last quarter of 2013 and a slight decrease to 51.7% in the first quarter of 2014. While Android suffered a minor decline Apple had an increase in the share of about 1% in a single quarter.

Now comes the interesting part where Nokia surpassed BlackBerry’s market share within a quarter. BlackBerry has started declining owing to the constraints suffered by it compared to the fluidity of iPhones and Android phones. In the last quarter of 2013, BlackBerry was in the third position with 3.6 % which descended straight to 3.1% making way for Windows Phone to becoming the third ecosystem in the beginning quarter of this year.
