VLC for Windows 10 has arrived with a revamped user interface teamed up with animations and colors that matches the user interface of Windows 10. So overall the app looks quite interesting. The improved and modified user interface is the prime feature that has come with the update. The new VLC for Windows Store will have fast functioning even on low end devices like Surface RT and Low budget Lumia handsets. The cool new animations that have been added are the beta version of Win2D component for the background slideshow.
Another big change is the name. It is neither called the VLC media player nor VLC for Windows 8. The app has been renamed again and changed to VLC for Windows Store. That’s it!
Now considering the internal features, the new updated app has included a plethora of new features like inclusion of the “Add to current Playlist” option in Music Library, resume feature Video Library, TagLib again for video library to extract metadata of your videos, a mini player, DLNA, improved Search engine and many more.
The VLC app has also pushed numerous bug fixers and performance improvement patches. Yet, the app is still having issues like glitches in audio, problem in hardware decoding of video etc. The new version is VLC 1.3.
