How Much RAM Does My Windows 10 Edition Support?

RAM-windows10

RAM stands for Random Access Memory. RAM is a volatile storage in your computer that stores information in it on temporary basis. RAM is a memory device which enables data and machine code to be read and written in the CPU in the same time, irrespective of the physical location of data inside the memory. The data is not permanently stored in RAM. In simple analogy, you can compare RAM to the reading desks in a library. Scholars come and sit at the desk, take books, read them and then leave off. That desk can be used by any scholar and is not fixed for a single person. Now, if there are fewer desks compared to the number of students, then students will have to wait for long time and will get late. So, the number of desks should be in sync with the number of students who come to the library. This is exactly the same reason why RAM memory is important for fast operability of the computer. If you have a 64-bit machine, and your RAM is low, the combination will be horrific.

Computers are getting advanced, and now most of the PCs have 64-bit processors. 64-bit Windows 10 computers can support up to 624 TB memory, but different editions and different models have different RAM capacity.

Let us have a look at the RAM limit in different versions of Windows 10
