The new flagship Windows 8 phone, HTC 8X is going to hit the floor in this November. There is no doubt that, the HTC 8X will set a good challenging for the Nokia Lumia 920. HTC 8X will be available in four different colors – Graphite Black, California Blue, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow. This is probably the first phone by HTC where we can see more choices in terms of color.

HTC 8X comes with 1280 X 720 4.3 inches Super LCD 2 display, protected by Gorilla Corning Glass 2. The pixel density of this device is 342 ppi, which is no doubt very impressive and slightly better than Lumia 920 (332 ppi). HTC 8X has 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 225 GPU and 1 GB RAM.

There are two cameras in this device. Front camera is of 8 MP with auto focus and LED flash. It can record 1080 p full HD video @30 fps. Secondary camera is of 2.1 MP and it is also capable of recording 1080p video. This is another advantage of HTC 8x. The device comes with 16 GB of internal storage but if you need more space then you will be disappointed to hear that there is no external memory card slot for this device. So, no option for memory expansion. With other standard features of smart phones like WI-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band), Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP, EDR) HTC 8X supports NFC or Near Field Communication.

Another impressive feature of this phone is addition of Beats Audio. We have already seen the inclusion of Beats Audio in previous HTC Android devices like one series or Desire series phones. It improves your listening experience. HTC 8X’s 1800 mA battery should be good enough for a smartphone for keep going at least for a day. The price of HTC 8X is not announced by the Taiwanese firm. We can expect HTC will announce the price of 8X by the end of this month.

The bright array of colors of 8X resembles with the different color editions of Lumia 920. May be the simple and colorful design of Metro interface is the reason behind choosing this kind of styling and designing for windows phones. What do you think?
