A recent update in Windows 10 has a severe bug which causes the Wi-Fi connection to completely go off. This is simply a menace as you can neither connect your Windows 10 computer to the Wi-Fi nor you can find the available networks in the Settings. To the worst, the Wi-Fi option even gets removed from the Settings option. This happened with my tablet also. If you land up amid such a situation, it will be very difficult for you to sort out the issue. Even if a bug fixer update is available, you wont be able to access it becuase Wi-Fi connection is not available. Sometimes the update may also damage your Ethernet driver also. However, I did solve my problem and hence I am writing down the steps I did. Hope it helps you.
Steps to Fix no Wi-Fi Available issue in Windows 10
1. Right click or long press on the Start Button and click on Command Prompt (Admin) to open the elevated command prompt.
2. Now type the following command and hit Enter.
reg delete HKCR\CLSID\{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
3. Next type the following command and again press Enter. I got the following result
netcfg -v -u dni_dne
4. Next you must restart your computer. This time restarting may take longer time compared to that’s usually expected. It will hopefully solve your problem.
