It opened another window. I scrolled down to “restore to previous”, then click on the general tab, then click on the box that says “change” next to open with. I clicked on “Adobe Acrobat PDF” and everything went back to that. Be certain to hit apply at the bottom and then ok, if that is what you want it to stay on.

Two day ago I had this issue on a Dell Laptop. I started it in secure mode and deleted the klif.sys.
The Laptop ran smooth after that. On the same day wie upgraded Keaspersky Endpoint Security vom V10 to V13.
On the next day the Laptop was not useable anymore. What happend was that one of these actions killed every driver on the Latop. No USB, Mouse, Touchpad or Network or WLAN was working anymore. You just could move with the builtin keyboard but could not install anything. I must reinstall the whole Laptop

Me too. No one seems to understand this issue for some reason. Lots of answers if it’s a problem with ‘Steam’ which is something for gaming or gamers (which I’m not). We just want to set our the desktop shortcuts for our url’s to the appropriate icon which we already have on our computers. Problem is Windows won’t let us and on mine it was just a random thing, just happened one day and I don’t know why. It also hasn’t affected all my url shortcuts, the ones that it did affect I deleted and made new shortcuts but still can’t change the damn globe icon.

Thanks for the invite to ask you for help.
I bought a PC with Win 10 Home installed. When I got it the Sleep option was available in the menu you get when pressing Win-X, U. That indicates the hardware supports it.
I had a system crash and had to reinstall windows. The Sleep option was no longer available. I upgraded to Win 10 Pro. I followed your instructions to enable Sleep using the Local Group Policy Editor. I restarted the PC but Sleep was not available. I checked to see if Local Group Policy Editor was still showing it enabled. It is.
I have tried enabling Sleep using Control panelAll control Panel ItemsPower OptionSystem Settings. The Power and sleep button settings do not give me the Sleep option.
I tried Change setting that are currently unavailable. Nothing there either.
I have administrator privileges with my default login.

The ironic thing is that the Browsing History is controlled by Internet Explorer because IE is integrated into Windows.

To clear the Browsing History, and the list of programs you’ve launched through the Run menu:
1. Launch Internet Explorer (not Edge)
2. Open the Tools drop-down menu
3. Select Internet Options
4. You will start on the General tab. About halfway down the page, find the section for Browsing History, click the button for Delete.
5. Put a check mark in History (and anything else you want to delete)
6. Click the Delete button
7. You are returned to the General tab of the Internet Options page. Click OK to exit.
8. Type Win+R to see if this fixed your issue

You need admin rights for this, and access to security settings to enable your access to the hidden files (It still requires manual confirmation to access the folders even if you are the admin user, don’t know why but propably because some users might just damage their computer more if they had easy access to these files.)

Another thing is that you can’t really open these dmp.files with normal software on windows, I think it’s better to get a dx.diag file and look that over, windows will generate one if you just use the built-in program for it. I do not remember the exact steps to generate a dxdiag file with win 10, but hey…Thank god Google exists. Just google how to dxdiag win 10/ how to show hidden files win10 / How to access hidden folders win 10.
