The error 0x80070037 is very common in Windows 10 when we try to copy files to an external drive. The error accompanies a warning message that the specified network resource or device is no longer available. When this error is encountered, it implies that there is a weak power supply to the external device which results in inconsistent connectivity. The connection establishes and cuts off continuously. Such problems arise, when there is a high power supply to the device or a weak power supply to the internal devices.

1. First of all, check your USB ports if they are functioning properly. If the USB ports are loose, or damaged, it will affect the performance of the port. So, if you see that the port where you connected your external device, is damaged physically, try connecting to another port.

4. You can connect the external device to another computer to check if there is any issue with the external drive or with compatibility with the computer itself. By observing the result, you can act accordingly. If all these methods fail, you can be sure that the external device is damaged and it is time to replace it.
