There are many untrustworthy search engines like Do-search.com, Foxtab, Wsys Control etc. These type of software/add-ons get installed on your PC silently and alter your default search engine and browser’s start up pages. Some of these may also show continuous pop-ups and slow down your web browsers.

Often we install these type of search engine add-ons by clicking on spam ads or sometimes these type of things come with software bundles. So while installing a new software on your PC, it’s a good practice to see the installer options properly, in spite of blindly clicking on the Next button.

If you have already installed Do-search on your PC, you may have seen that it affects all of your installed web browsers. So even if you switch from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, it would not solve your problem. In order to completely remove Do-search or other untrustworthy search engine add-ons from your PC, follow the steps below.

How to Remove DO-SEARCH?

Open Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Programs > select Do-Search from the list and uninstall it.

Now, perform the steps, mentioned below.

Removing Do-Search from Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer > Manage Add-ons (For older versions of IE select Tools > ManageAdd-ons) > Toolbars and Extensions > search for Do-Search and uninstall.

2. Then go to Internet Option > General and change the start page to get rid of dosearches.com.

Removing Do-Search from Mozilla Firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox and navigate to Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. Find Do-Search and click “Uninstall”. Now, change the start up page of Firefox.

Removing Do-Search from Google Chrome

Click on Chrome menu button and go to Tools > Extensions. Search for Do-Search and click on the Recycle-bin button to uninstall it. Then, change the start up page entry of chrome.

Always keep open your eyes when you are clicking on any links or installing any new software from the web. If your are not sure about downloading or installing a new software, always Google it first to check whether it’s safe or not.
