Windows 8 and 8.1 has a new feature of revealing typed passwords on your computer. Just beside the password there is an eye shaped button called the password reveal button which when pressed or tapped displays the password typed. Generally when we type a password it is encrypted and on the display we only see dots or asterisks in place of the letters. But if you want to see what you have typed you can press the Password Reveal button. In case of login in banking and other purposes where a certain number of trials is permitted, viewing the password becomes helpful. By default the setting is not configured.
