Microsoft is all decked up to release the Visual Studio 2015 and information have started to leak out. But this time Microsoft has announced some of the minute details, just before the release. The announcement highlighted mainly the pricing of the new Visual Studio, some new features that will be coming with different versions and the discount Microsoft will be offered to developers.
Four versions will be released and each version will provide different services and discounts. The Visual Studio Community 2013 will be updated to the Visual Studio Community 2015. Visual Studio Professional 2013 with MSDN will upgrade to 2015. The high-end versions of the tools will now be bundled into a single SKU. Visual Studio Premium and Visual Studio Ultimate are being combined into a single solution, called Visual Studio Enterprise 2015 with MSDN. It’s clear from the image that higher end versions will enjoy greater discount offers.
For new customers, the Visual Studio 2015 Community version will be free whereas the Enterprise SKU is coming up with an Ultimate subscription, priced at $5,999 only for new customers and $2,569 for membership renewals. Visual Studio 2015 Professional will cost $1199.
