A popular British based Company known as ARM Holdings is involved in the production of ARM processer which is
now the most famous chip running on numerous mobile phones and tablets.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Chip

According to various studies, ARM has alone produced about 6.1 billion ARM based Processor representing the 95% of
Smartphones, 35% of Digital Television and set-top-boxes along with 10% mobile computers.
The biggest hardware and solution providers i.e: Qualcomm and NVIDIA for Windows and ARM are improving their existing
products for futher enhancement.

The SnapDragon Chipset is alreasy running on many devices perfectly and the hardware makers are deciding to embed this chip
in their upcoming tablets and mobile phones that are planned to be launched in the near future.
QualComm in a press release announced that the SnapDragon Chipset will also support Windows 8.1 RT Version.

The most awaited Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip is a power packed package since it is Qualcomm’s fastest chip.
It consists of 4 Krait 400 CPU’s that will support upto 2.2Ghz with a Andreno 330 GPU with 3G/4G LTE radios.
The third chipset is in fine position to support Windows 8.1 RT Version.

The new chipset of Snapdragon 800 (CPU + GPU) with its memory units will boost its performance as well as speed although it has been
said that these chips are highly efficient when compared with the previous generation chips.

These chips support a magnificent resolution of 2560*2048 pixels for better video quality. Also they native support for 4K video for proper
encoding and decoding.

It will be interesting to see that after the improvements, whether Windows 8.1 RT version would create some thrill and interest among the
hardware companies. These chips will hit the market on devices supporting Windows 8.1 RT version shortly.
