Norton antivirus has recently advised its users to swtich to a different web browser if they are using Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge is the new generation web browser which will come with Windows 10 officially. Since the last few Technical Preview Builds, we are getting Microsoft Edge browser.

The Edge browser claims to run faster than Chrome and Firefox and is accompanied with a lot of new exciting features. Microsoft Edge is a fast interactive web browser which is still under process. Hence the browser lacks support gor extension.

Norton antivirus has however not liked this lack of support for extensions. So they are right now requesting users to switch back to a different browser Chrome or Firefox. But according to report this problem will be sorted very soon with a new update.

Symantec antivirus also advised users to use extension to provide filters to malicious software. Those using Microsoft Edge will be able access Norton’s services but the software cannot filter results to warn users of harmful websites.
