There are recent reports stating that one of world’s top most mobile manufacturing company, Nokia is planning to come back to the smartphone market in 2016. Even it was noted from another report where a Nokia executive quotes that the company is planning to manufacture handsets out of an R&D facility in China. But, Nokia has issued a statement in official website denying all the false allegations of manufacturing and selling smartphones. Nokia confirms that it has no such plans and all the reports are regarding this are false.

No plans to manufacture or sell smartphones out of R and D facility in China

According the news on Nokia’s official site, it has been stated that, “Nokia notes recent news reports claiming the company communicated an intention to manufacture consumer handsets out of a R&D facility in China. These reports are false, and include comments incorrectly attributed to a Nokia Networks executive.”

Nokia has denied manufacturing handsets out of the R&D in China but that does not stop the company manufacturing out of other R&D. Is Nokia diplomatically answered because it does not deny plans to manufacture out of other R&Ds in future? So it’s just is matter of time now. We need to wait and watch whether the company has really moved out from manufacturing world and focus on other business models.
The Finland based company was a former world’s top most handset maker but the touchscreen mania gave it a tough competition with other smartphone manufacturing companies and lost customer focus. Will Nokia ever return to the manufacturing world? It is not a question from you or me, but all the Nokia lovers.
